Our Story

Our Mission

Transforming Benefits Communication

For too long, HR and benefits professionals have relied on tools built for other industries. SwellSpace and SwellChat were created to change that. Our platforms are designed specifically for HR administrators, benefits professionals, and insurance brokers and consultants, giving them complete control over HR and benefits communication without the need for technical expertise.

HR and benefits administrators can now provide a centralized, easy-to-access hub for benefits information through SwellSpace, while SwellChat offers interactive communication channels that reduce the administrative burden. Together, they ensure that employees and their dependents have seamless access to the resources they need. By making benefits education more accessible through both platforms, HR teams can also extend this information to prospective employees, helping organizations attract and retain top talent in an increasingly competitive job market.

For brokers and consultants, our dual-platform approach offers a modern, digital benefits experience that helps them differentiate themselves in a crowded marketplace. SwellSpace provides comprehensive content management while SwellChat enables personalized engagement, allowing them to strengthen high-value client relationships and improve retention while also having the opportunity to convey the value of individual plans directly to employees, maximizing revenue opportunities.

Our platforms also serve as powerful tools for channel partners, offering versatile benefits communication solutions that can be tailored for employers of all sizes. By streamlining access to one centralized benefits education center through SwellSpace and facilitating real-time interaction via SwellChat, we ensure everyone has the information they need to make informed decisions. Together, SwellSpace and SwellChat transform benefits communication from a fragmented, outdated process into a seamless, modern experience that enhances engagement and improves outcomes.

Our Origin

Built by Benefits Experts, for Benefits Professionals

With over 100 years of combined experience in benefits technology and strategy, our team understands the challenges faced by HR and benefits professionals. Throughout our careers, we saw a persistent gap in the industry: while benefits administration platforms play a significant role, benefits education and communication have remained outdated and ineffective. Employees often struggle to understand and use their benefits to their full potential, which impacts their health, financial security, and overall well-being. As former executives at Benefitfocus, our founding team played a role in shaping the benefits administration space, and through that experience, we recognized an opportunity to go further—beyond administration and into education and engagement.

SwellSpace and SwellChat were created to fill this white space. Our mission is to equip HR teams and brokers with intuitive, modern tools that simplify benefits communication, empower employees, and drive better outcomes. SwellSpace provides the content foundation while SwellChat enables dynamic conversations around benefits. We believe that when employees have clear, accessible information about their benefits and can easily get answers to their questions, they can make smarter decisions that enhance their quality of life.

As products of 3Together, an employee benefits innovation lab, SwellSpace and SwellChat are part of a broader commitment to creating long-term solutions that genuinely serve HR and benefits professionals. Unlike many venture-backed companies that prioritize short-term gains, we are self-funded and privately held, allowing us to focus on developing innovative tools that simplify decisions, reduce complexity, and enhance communication. At 3Together, we are committed to reimagining benefits communication through our complementary platforms, ensuring that employees and their families have the knowledge and support they need to live healthier, happier lives.
